It was a great night. You, Bellatrix and Beardyman (a new name to me but one I’ll look out for) really got the crowd going and I’ll bet for some it was the first time they’ve seen beatbox live. Unfortunately Kela killed it, his head is just too big now and his vocal tunes just didn’t fit the occasion – though there is no denying his talent, just he did the wrong thing for night IMO. I wont rush out to see him again.

Credit to all that were in the competition, there is some amazing talent.

Was nice to chat briefly too Shlo, keep up the good work.

Still, it’s a lot fairer than putting it to the crowd. For example, MC Zani had a huge section of friends/family. Minamus was there on his own.

The contestants themselves felt the event was much fairer this year due to the judging criteria. With such a big prize up for grabs, it has to been done in as fair a way as possible.

At the end of the day, it’s about the contestants feeling it’s been a fair competition, and the crowd having a good time.

Exactly. This is why I have never participated in “battles” of any kind. I have no interest in “beating” another musician.

I’m sorry to hear that you had this experience, but I’m sure that everyone in the audience had a great time nonetheless!
