PANEL: Dame Vivienne Westwood, Harriet Harman, Peter Tatchell, Simon Hughes, Jeremy Hunt. COMEDY: The Amazing Tommy and the Weeks. MUSIC: The Magic Numbers, Rose Elinor Dougall, Shlomo.

Instigate Debate – a counterculture project formed by a collective of musicians including Carl Barat and Jon “The Reverend” McClure plus journalist Mark Donne & John O’Sullivan, host the big pre-election London debate, are the parties still relevant? Will you vote? If not, why not?

Instigate Debate’s remit is to challenge the tabloidization of British culture, the dumbing down of the news media, and to bring the chambers of parliament to every pub, college and street in Britain.

Instigate asks people with mobile phone cameras to politely request – in the street – interviews with police chiefs, MP’s, celebrities and CEO’s of corporations, asking questions on the key issues of the day. Participants then upload the videos to the ID you-tube channel. The best posts receive a free guerrilla gig in their home for them and friends from a host of well known musicians.
