CALLING ALL INDIAN VOCALISTS AND BEATBOXERS! In an exciting new collaboration with the British Council, I will be putting together VOCTRONICA – India’s first beatboxing vocal ensemble.

Leading the project with me is Testament, the incredible beatboxer, rapper and long-standing member of my UK vocal groups, alongside Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy – front man of Scribe and a vocal genius in his own right.

My collaborators in India


I announced yesterday that I’m doing a 3 city tour of India in a couple of weeks. It’s a collaborative tour with different guest artists in each city. Here’s some info on each of the collaborators!

Raies Khan (morchang) – Collaborating in all 3 cities

Vivek Rajagopalan – plays mouth percussion and mridangam

Sidd Coutto (from the band Tough on Tobacco) – sings and plays guitar and drums

Suhail Yusuf Khan (from the band Advaita) – plays the Sarangi and Hindustani Vocals

Ujwal Nagar (from the band Advaita) – Hindustani Vocals

Last but not least, Indian folk rock band Swarathma

British Council and That Cat Entertainment bring to you one of the best beatboxers in the world, Shlomo, to do a three city tour. Shlomo has performed all over the world at the biggest festivals and events including Glastonbury, Bestival and Big Chill. His collaborations are world renowned and his performance with Bjork at the 2004 Olympics was nominated for a Grammy Award. He started the worlds first beatbox choir called the Vocal Orchestra and he is one of the founders of the global beatbox portal called humanbeatbox.com. Fostering the British Council’s sprit of collaboration between British and Indian acts, Shlomo will collaborate with some of India’s amazing talent like Swarathma, Tough on Tobacco and Rajasthani Folk artist Raies Khan.
